Nando’s Flame-Grilled Chicken Restaurants To Help Ring In 2007 ‘Year of the Golden Pig’ Throughout Greater Vancouver

Vancouver, BC – February 14, 2007 – Nando’s Flame-Grilled Chicken Restaurants is proud to announce the launch of its ‘Year of the Golden Pig’ campaign at various Lunar New Year celebrations hosted by Asian communities around the lower mainland from February 16th to February 18th, 2007.


As part of the ‘Year of the Golden Pig’ celebrations, Nando’s Feed Teams will be on-site at various Lunar New Year events, festivals and gatherings throughout the weekend to hand out instant giveaways and specially marked Red and White envelopes.  In line with Chinese and Korean New Year traditions, each envelope contains a special voucher for a free quarter-chicken redeemable at any Nando’s restaurant in British Columbia.  The general public is invited to keep a lookout for Nando’s Feed Teams throughout the weekend.

As part of Nando’s Lunar New Year celebration, each customer who redeems a ‘Year of the Golden Pig’ free quarter-chicken voucher can be entered into a draw for a Grand Prize of 600 Nando’s Bucks ($600 retail food value) valid at all Nando’s restaurants across the province.  The Grand Prize winner will be announced on March 15, 2007.


For every free quarter-chicken voucher redeemed, Nando’s will donate one dollar in food product, to a maximum of six-hundred dollars, to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. for charitable purposes.
