Red Galleria brings home décor to an entire new level

Vancouver-based Red Galleria showcases Zen home décor accent which will be put on display at BC Home + Décor Show. This massive and modern event is a popular home and garden show featuring celebrity appearances and seminars, a dream getaway home, a kitchen design theatre, and a lot more for home owners and would be home owners.

Red Galleria showcases the much adored sandstone sculptures of Buddha statue that inspires us to develop our inner qualities to achieve happiness, good fortune, and satisfaction in our lives. By placing Buddha statues in central areas in your home or office, it will provide daily inspirations and serve as a reminder of our own capacity to achieve the good life.
Red Galleria is engaged in collecting Buddha figures and Buddha heads which are prevalent throughout Thailand. Among these includes the magnificent Buddha painting depicting a Thai Buddha head of bronze cast in shadow.
Also, Red Galleria will put on display a unique wood-sculptured Guan Yin with one thousand eyes and a thousand hands, and eleven faces. One thousand hands mean that she will protect all people and one thousand eyes mean to look after the human world. The eleven faces show every kind of emotions. She protects all beings and followers.
Likewise, Red Galleria provides an array of Vietnamese Lacquer Wares which has a history of about two thousand years. The traditional lacquer process, as practiced in Vietnam, is complex and requires 75 to 115 days to complete each piece.
There are many steps to the production of lacquer ware. Any imperfections in the wood are first sealed with lacquer. The wood is then covered with cotton gauze and covered with a thick mixture of sawdust, alluvial soil, finely ground rock, and lacquer.
After drying it is sanded smooth under water. It is then painted with a mixture of alluvial soil and lacquer and wet sanded. The coating and sanding process is repeated at least two more times. At this point the artwork is applied to the piece by hand using any combination of paints, seashell, mother of pearl, eggshell, and other materials.
The surface areas of piece without artwork are painted with solid lacquer, while the areas with the design are coated with a special clear lacquer. The artwork is then entirely coated at least two more times with clear lacquer.
Finally it is highly polished with wax. Every lacquer lamp is hand painted or is individually glued with eggshell and mother of pearls.
