L’il Champs to show off talent

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs is an Indian-televised children’s singing competition platform that showcases the talent of some of the youngest singers from all over India.
Hosted by Aditya Narayan, son of infamous singer Udit Narayan, and judged by Sonu Nigam and Suresh Wadkar, the show was broadcast on Friday and Saturday nights, becoming a household name.
Music, they say is food for the soul, and for the first time, these young talented individuals are coming to Vancouver to prove just that. On Sept. 13, Kamal’s Video Palace and Jay Chaudhary present Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs live in concert at the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver. The show that began in 2005 took the country by storm and became a huge success.
Anamika Choudhari, who won the competition on March 1 this year, along with first runner-up Rohanpreet Singh and second runner-up Tanmay Chautervedi, will be sharing the stage with favourites Aamir Hafeez, Vasundhara Raturi and Vaishali Raikwar.
Kamal Sharma of Kamal’s Video palace is excited to be presenting the show in Vancouver.
“This is to motivate the hidden talent here in Vancouver to come out and to appreciate such kulla (art),” he said.
Sharma said he is awed by the talent exuded by the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs. “At such young ages of 6 to 14, (they) can dance, sing and entertain all at once with tremendous confidence. I hope they will be an inspiration for everyone who attends the show.”
The show will take place at the Orpheum Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Tickets range from $25 to $55 and are available from Kamal’s Video Palace.
