Employee Profile: Business Objects Inc.

Vivian Chan joined Business Object's Vancouver office as a co-operative student in 1999. After graduating from Simon Fraser University in 2000, Chan became a full-time Business Objects employee and leveraged her Bachelor of Business degree in a variety of marketing capacities.

"Working at Business Objects has provided me with such a diverse set of marketing experiences, including ones that I wasn't even aware of when I graduated," said Chan. "After eight years, I remain challenged and am empowered to learn new skills which make me an asset to the marketing team. Community involvement is also important to me in creating a balanced lifestyle. Last year I had the privilege of working with a team of 10 other Business Objects employees to organize an art exhibition and fundraiser for Downtown East Side Women's Center with most of the planning during regular business hours. Business Objects is truly committed to employee volunteerism.

Business Objects software is used in many different places – from managing ticket sales to the conservation of bears in Alaska or helping get the right mix of ingredients in Ben & Jerry's ice cream.
