The United Chinese Community Enrichment Services Society (S.U.C.C.E.S.S.), Business and Economic Development and Coast Capital Savings Credit Union jointly launched the networking series with David Solloway, general manager of North American operations at Oasis Hong Kong Airlines Ltd. as the keynote speaker for the event.
“Asia Pacific Business Networking Series is an excellent platform for new business owners to develop their local network and integrate into the multicultural society,” said Kenneth Tung, chairman of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. “We all benefited from the presentation of Solloway on how Oasis successfully developed its business in North America.”
Founded in 1973 and incorporated in 1974 as a non-profit charitable organization, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. is one of the largest social service agencies in B.C. serving the new Canadians communities, including employment and business services. Its mandate is to promote the well being of new and established Canadians to create an integrated society in the spirit of multiculturalism.
Tung also said: “It is also a win-win strategy for us to work with Coast Capital Savings Credit Union to launch this kind of event and three more sessions throughout the year.”
S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gateway to Asia (GTA) is a project funded by Western Economic Diversification Canada to support Canadian companies in developing the Asian markets and Asian investment in Canada. GTA will provide on-going support to business owners in different areas such as educational workshops, and networking events.
“S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Business and Economic Development has been organizing different business workshops. We would like to take our step to next level,” said Ray Tseng, manager of Gateway to Asia.
“On top of regular educational events, our clients can now develop their business network, meet with potential partners, and explore new business opportunities at the Business Networking Series. It is our goal to help our clients to succeed in their business,” he added.
