Employment based, fifth preference' (EB-5) is a visa program administered by United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) that enables foreigners to immigrate to the United States by making an investment in a new commercial business that creates ten new jobs. EB-5 visa holders are granted a green card allowing them and their family to live and work in the United States. Over the past 10 years, the number of EB-5 visas issued to Asian investors has grown from 16 in 2005 to 6,895 in 2013.
