TD's ‘New to Canada’ offerings include banking packages and multilingual service

As hundreds of thousands of people immigrate to Canada each year, [1]New Canadians are taking on increasing responsibility in both the labour force and population growth.

For many New Canadians, setting up banking and finances in a new country can be challenging. Beyond simply opening a bank account, New Canadians’ ability to integrate themselves into an unfamiliar financial system depends on understanding the nuances of banking in Canada, including knowing where to turn for financial advice.

TD and CanadaVisa Strategic Relationship

For these reasons TD has recently launched a new multi-year relationship with Canadian immigration information website CanadaVisa. With 2.4 million monthly users and over 900,000 forum members, CanadaVisa, and its affiliate news site, CIC News, host the world's largest Canadian immigration forum.

Through this relationship, TD aims to provide newcomers access to information about Canadian banking and key financial topics like how to build good credit, what to know before buying a home, and tips for first-time investors. These resources can be accessed at www.cicnews.com/td.

TD Banking Packages

Another important aspect of a newcomer's financial journey is selecting a banking package that is right for them.
