Best part of your job: 
The best part of my job is being a part of a company in a high growth stage and the great work experiences that come with that.  I am so fortunate to work with great people and I love being exposed to fashion. 

Inspiration (why do you do it & what got you interested in what you are doing now in the first place?):
I worked for Aritzia during the late 90's, early 00's in various store sales and management positions, so I was already familiar with the company.   I have always had an interest in fashion and retail, so I returned to Aritzia in 2006 into the Planning department, where I could use my business skills and leverage my previous retail experience. 

Challenges (the most difficult incident you have dealt with so far in your work):
Due to Aritzia's rapid growth and recent expansion into the US, our biggest challenge has been the limitations on our current information systems.  While we are in the process of implementing a new platform, the transition period can provide some challenges.  Particularly in Planning, where we need to analyze data and provide relevant information to management in order to prepare for our business accurately.

Advice:  I would highly recommend any business professional to enroll in the CMA program.  I think the biggest misinterpretation of CMA is that as an accounting designation, it's only focused on numbers.  The program actually has 3 main focuses:  Strategy, Management, and Accounting.  It's challenging, interactive, and the networking through group work is outstanding.  Most importantly, it has taught me to think strategically and creatively in my approach to problem solving. 

Favorite recreational activity: Surfing, Cooking, Traveling, Snowboarding
Upcoming Vacation plans: Australia, Hawaii, California coast
In five years, I see myself (both professionally and personally):
Professionally, I hope to continue to learn and contribute to Aritzia's success, and capitalize on the opportunities that my CMA designation will present.
Personally, I will continue to travel and surf as much as possible.
