Inspiration: Since I was in high school in Doha, Qatar, I liked working with numbers and I started getting interested in the world of business. I eventually transferred to Canada to Concordia University. where I completed my degree in accounting and finance. During my last year of undergraduate studies, I looked at the different professional career paths in the field of accounting and found what I really was looking for in the CMA designation.

Challenges: I had to work through fire disasters and help manage the company through its recovery process. Even though disasters can be very painful financially, organizations that do make it through come out better and stronger.

Differences: Working in manufacturing is a bit more exciting than the different jobs I took like Telecommunications, Export/Import, and Hospitality. You have the ability to physically track the making of the company’s products from raw materials to finished goods. As you go through every step of the production process, you find better ways for improving quality control and efficiency.

EDUCATION:

Degree(s) and Schools: Certified Management Accountant , Baccalaureate in Commerce Degree, in Accounting and Finance, from Concordia University.

Benefits of Program: Besides full cycle accounting experience, the CMA professional program helped me to acquire new analytical and decision-making skills. The program provided professional training on major topics in the management accounting field including internal control, budgeting, costing, variances, ratio analysis and quality assurance.

LIFESTYLE:
Favourite recreational activity: Outdoor activities and camping.
Upcoming vacation plans: I do wish to visit Mecca, Saudi Arabia anytime soon.
In five years: At this point, I do not have plans for any major changes in my career, but I am looking for long-term growth and looking forward to achieve this growth in the manufacturing industry. I also want to renew my commitment to charitable work.
