As part of its expanding mandate to move from a Christian-faith based station to a multicultural broadcaster, CNHU 10 (formerly NOW TV) is launching a new half-hour weekday talk series called, The Daily with Mark and Laura-Lynn. The Vancouver-produced series, debuting June 2 on Cable 10, will be hosted by former B.C. Lions defensive back Mark Washington and local broadcast personality Laura-Lynn Tyler Thompson, and promises to offer a unique perspective on the issues, events and news-making personalities that make British Columbia hum. The program, which features both in-studio interviews and location segments, will have a different thematic focus each day of the week – from business and world events to family and wellness. The series will also air nationally on the multi-faith channel VisionTV. Guests on The Daily – which airs Monday to Friday at 6 a.m., 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. - will include B.C. Premier Gordon Campbell, maverick TV producer Chris Haddock, creator of Da Vinci’s Inquest and Intelligence, Vancouver radio and TV personality Bill Good, and Kelowna singer-songwriter Raquel Warchol.
