Capital Markets (McMillan) partner Amandeep Sandhu has been selected as one of the leading lawyers in Canada under the age of 40 in Lexpert's 2013 "Rising Stars" competition.

Sandhu specializes in mergers and acquisitions transactions and financings, particularly in the mining industry.
As Chair of the firm's Inclusion & Diversity Committee and Chair of McMillan's India practice group, Sandhu demonstrates exceptional leadership and judgment in championing important initiatives.
The Lexpert Rising Stars award recognizes legal leaders under 40 nominated by their peers on criteria such as leadership, professional achievements, business acumen, adaptability, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Sandhu has played a significant role in major Canadian M&A transactions, including Glamis Gold’s offer to acquire Goldcorp Inc. and Teck Resources Limited’s offer to acquire Inco Limited.
He has also served as the South Asian Bar Association of BC (SABABC) President and Director.
Sandhu completed his LLB from UBC in 2002.
