Marcon’s new Surrey Pavilion is an investment in BC’s soon-to-be largest city

Surrey is on a transformative journeyone that will see the once-suburb become British Columbias biggest city by 2030. By 2041, the city will be home to 1 million residents.

Its a radical growth trajectory, one thats been supported by more than $20 billion of investment from public and private sources. The funding has largely focused on Surreys Central Downtown, an evolution of the downtown core offering employment opportunities, high-density housing, cultural and commercial services, and educational facilities.

Its here, in the heart of the city, that Marcon is championing community, connection, and preservation of the citys cultural heritage. A family-owned and operated developer, Marcon is building 102+Park, a mixed residential and retail development that represents the first ownership opportunity in over a decade on Surreys Civic Plaza. The plaza is currently undergoing a $2 billion overhaul that will transform it into a coveted location for living, working, and playingmaking now the ideal time to invest.

Outside of the downtown core of Vancouver, there's nothing like what's happening in Surrey City Center. It's rare to see the combination of public and private investment coming together in a cultural and recreation sense, bringing a ton of energy to a community to build out a true metropolitan core, said Nic Paolella, Executive Vice President of Marcon, which has built more than 13,000 homes in BC since 1985.

A short distance from the future site of 102+Park is the Surrey Pavilion, Marcons visible commitment to community and culture. The new community concept features 7,100 square feet of indoor and outdoor areas, modelling the care, detail and quality that Marcon invests into every project.   As part of its many community offerings, the Pavilion houses the first Surrey location of elevated food and beverage experience Nemesis, whose team of baristas, chefs, and creatives serve flavourful brews alongside Dope Bakehouse pastries and bites. The Pavilion debuts to the public on February 21, while the 102+Park Sales Gallerywhose exhibition-style layout is inspired by the Museum of Modern Artopens in spring 2025.

Celebrating its 40-year anniversary in 2025, Marcon has long established a ritual of meaningful investment in the communities where it builds. The Surrey Pavilion represents the companys commitment to cultivating mutually beneficial, long-lasting relationships with residents and local businesses of BCs fast-growing city. It also demonstrates Marcons refreshing approach to developmenta vision where people and quality come first.
