Nina Grewal, the MP for Fleetwood-Port Kells and Jinny Sims the MP for Newton-North Delta
will join California governor Jerry Brown in the peace and unity rally being organized by the North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) in order to pay homage to the innocent victims of Wisconsin gurudwara shootout.
This rally will be held at North Step State capitol in Sacramento California on September 8 from 11 A.M. to 2.30 P.M.
"The Governor of California State Jerry Brown has consented to participate in the rally. This will also be attended by Jinny Jogindera Sims and Nina Grewal, sitting members of Canadian parliament and Gurmant Grewal former MP from Canada. N. Parthasarthi Consul General of India in Sanfrancisco has also given his consent for participation," said Satnam Singh Chahal, President of the Association.
NAPA chairman Dalwinder Singh Dhoot and Chahal said that the participants in the rally would also include representatives from various political parties cutting across party affiliations and members of various religious, social, cultural organizations and non-governmental entities.
They said that rally would also take this opportunity to express sincere thanks and appreciation to the security personal and local administration for handling the situation in most professional manner to avoid more bloodshed.
