Gloria Tang wins Miss Chinese International

Twenty year old Gloria Tang recently returned from Hong Kong having claimed the crown of Miss Chinese International.

The UBC student attributed her success to Fairchild TV’s amazing team of coaches who provided guidance, training and encouragement, as well as the production team that continually pushed her to her limit. They kept her in great shape for the intense competition.

She is the 6th winner frm BC to claim the international crown - the most from any overseas Chinese community.

Tang’s victory only adds to Vancouver reputation for producing beauty queens.

For her year ahead, Tang will be taking up her responsibilities as Miss Chinese Vancouver and Canadian Cancer Society’s Ambassador of Hope.

Established in 1995, Miss Chinese Vancouver Pageant has been recognized as a prestigious event organized by Fairchild Television.

The winner has the privilege to represent Vancouver in the Miss Chinese International Pageant.

Past winners of Miss Chinese Vancouver Pageant who have captured the title of Miss Chinese International include Bernice Liu (2002), Shirley Zhou (2003), Lind Chung (2005), Leanne Li (2006) and Eliza Sam (2010).
