After ten years of Liberal government, Canadians have fallen further behind while the cost of everything has risen. In Vancouver, the cost of housing, groceries, gas and heating is the highest in the country. Canada First Conservatives have a plan to change that.

The US tariffs are unjustified. They will hurt people and businesses on both sides of the border. Canada will never be the 51st state.

Our immediate response should be to impose reciprocal tariffs to discourage the American attacks. We must also be prepared for the impact, and our response must make it a priority to keep our industry moving and our workers working.

That is why a Conservative government will launch a Keep Canadians Working Fund, a targeted, temporary loan program for businesses directly hit, helping them keep workers on the job. 

Whether building a home or running a business, we are held back by rising costs and unnecessary bureaucracy. Red tape chokes ambition, drives up costs and makes it easier for the Americans to outcompete us. The Liberals got us into this mess over the past decade, sending Canadian businesses fleeing to the United States, yet Mark Carney is doubling down on the very policies that caused the problem.

Pierre Poilievre’s plan is to eliminate 25 percent of all red tape within his first two years as Prime Minister, saving businesses about $51 billion per year. A new Conservative government will cut red tape, unleash our workers and our businesses, so we can stand up to Trump from a position of strength.

Pierre has announced that he will create a new ‘One and Done’ rule for resource projects: a one-stop shop, with one simple application and one environmental review.

Pierre will approve LNG Canada’s Phase 2, plus at least 9 other projects that are waiting for the go-ahead.

Liberals allow elites to expense their luxury travel expenses, while offering nothing for average workers. A new Conservative government will allow trades workers to claim the full cost of their work-related travel.

We will ban taxpayer-funded drug dens from being located within 500 metres of schools, daycares, playgrounds, parks, and seniors’ homes and impose strict new oversight rules. And crack down on the Liberals’ reckless experiments with free access to illegal drugs that allow provinces to operate drug sites with no oversight.

Across Canada violent crime has soared by 50%, human trafficking has skyrocketed by 84% and fentanyl has killed more than 50,000 Canadians– more than died fighting for Canada in the Second World War. Our families and communities are suffering – enough!

The Liberal Bill C-5 ended mandatory jail time for serious gun and drug crimes, letting criminals off the hook, and Bill C-75 weakened bail, putting repeat offenders back on the streets faster.

A strong, new Conservative government will stop the crime, restore safe streets, and put Canada First – for a change.
